I was asked this question recently - Which is more important? Money or health?
My answer will be HEALTH. Because without health… you won’t get to enjoy every other things in the world. When you have health, you can work and have money.
What will your answer be?
Alan and I have spent some time doing up another blogsite specially for our wedding memories.
So, here.. today, I am now presenting to you the new blogsite - http://ourwedding.jaimeteh.com/
We will occasionally update this website on our planning and grumblings on the wedding arrangement right until the BIG DAY. So, happy reading… ![]()
I realized that I haven’t been blogging for close to 2 months.
Lately I’ve been busy with house cleaning/renovation and getting things done for the upcoming wedding in December. When there’s so much to do, one year sometimes seems too short to plan it all. I wonder how some couples can just have a wedding in less than 6 months. To book a venue for the wedding banquet nowadays takes at least 1 year in advance. That is if you want a nice and good place to have a banquet.
I’m looking forward to my pre-wedding photoshoot next week. Really praying hard that the pictures will turn out nice.
Well, I don’t have much to say here. I think I’ve lost the touch to blog. Facebook is a much easier option nowadays. Don’t you think so?
I was at a mini mart earlier to buy a loaf of bread and my favourite peanut butter jam. I got onto my weighing machine yesterday and found out that I’ve gained 2 kgs. Honestly, even without weighing… I could feel that I am indeed fatter.
Anyway, I decided to go on a diet and hope to shed off some of the extra weight before my pre-wedding photo shoot next month… hence, the loaf of bread and peanut butter jam. This will be my lunch for the next 2 weeks.
As I was at one of the mini mart aisle, there was this lady standing at the end of the aisle. I assumed she works there because she doesn’t seem like she’s shopping for groceries. To my horror… she burped. Not once.. not twice… but many many times… continously one after another. I actually began to stop breathing and quickly walked away in case I ter-smell whatever she is burping out.
My goodness… I’ve never seen any girl burping like that in public. Is she not embarrassed? I wonder….
My company organized a Movie Day today at Cathay Cineleisure. The movie was Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of The Crystal Skull.

I remember watching the earlier Indiana Jones movie back in the days when I was still studying. It’s been so long since they release this sequel. I was anxious and excited to watch it. I enjoyed the movie very much but not the ending. Somehow, I feel that the ending did not jive with the concept of treasure hunting when they revealed that it was actually aliens and UFO. Come to think of it, I think more of Steven Spielberg’s movies have the concept of aliens in it.
During the night, a few friends of mine – namely Simon F, Gerard + girlfriend and Billy got together at Chef & Brew in Medan Damansara, Damansara Heights. This was my second time there after being introduced to Chef & Brew by Alan’s friend, Tak Hoe. Personally, I like this place because it’s quiet and nice to chill with some friends. It’s a comfortable environment to catch up with friends and chit chat (without noisy background music playing). We ordered 2 bottles of house wine and hung out till almost 1am and decided to call it a night. It was fun catching up again with the guys.. we should do it more often.
As of this morning, I am now officially Mrs. Ang, wife of Alan Ang. Just a day before our second anniversary being together, Alan and I decided to get registered and be lawfully wedded husband and wife.
We had our registration ceremony at Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara (JPN) at Putrajaya and thankfully, the waiting and ceremony ended within 1 hour. Thanks to all family members and friends who attended our ROM this morning. Alan and I are bless to have our families and friends close by and support our relationship.

Honestly, I never thought that this day will come until I met Alan. We’ve been through good and bad times but I have to say that it’s all worth it and it proves how strong our love is for each other. I am so happy to be married to a wonderful man like Alan and just thinking about sharing the rest of my life and building a family with him brings a smile to my face.
Oh, I just love my husband sooooooooo much. ![]()
For the passed 1 week, I feel that my motivation level at work has dropped. It’s alarming to me because I’ve just worked at this new place for slightly over a month. I would’ve never expected that I’ll feel this way so fast.
One of the things that gets me down is the fact that the company is really very old style. Even the system that I’m using now is still on MS-DOS and I simply can’t get anything from this system. Everything seems so manual and it’s a vast difference after I’ve worked in an IT company with high-tech softwares and etc. And I’ve been hearing about how long the management takes to just approve something. It seems to me like some thing must happen first in order for them to learn their lesson to change while they can.
There are also very very tight control on processes and access. The employees are blocked from entering chat sites, blogs and lately, even Facebook. The company randomly checks incoming and outgoing emails… so, nothing is confidential. In the 2 previous companies that I’ve worked for, things are never so strict. This place I work now is back to like when I’m in school with all the rules and regulations.
So now I’m thinking if I should continue in this place and keep motivating myself everyday or call it quit. What should I do?
On April 13, I attended the Celine Dion - Taking Chances World Tour concert at Stadium Merdeka.

It was my first time stepping into Stadium Merdeka and once I was inside, I felt a sense of pride that this was the stadium that Malaysia celebrated their first Independence Day (Merdeka Day). I was even more glad when royalties like Dr Mahathir and his wife attended the concert and greeted the crowd when they arrived.
My sister managed to get some very good tickets and I was seated right in front of the stage at the VVIP area. The set up for the concert was very well done and everything was spectacular. Once the royalties have arrived, Celine stepped up on stage and started singing away. Of course, no concert of hers will be complete without singing the Titanic (you jump, I jump) song. This was the last song she sang after she changed into a beautiful flowing yellow dress.
She was awesome and did a very good performance. Even her back-up singers and band did very well. I’m very happy I managed to see Celine Dion performed LIVE - it’s never to miss.
I’ve been swamped with things to do and complete at work nowadays. I feel that every single minute at work is so short and at times, there’s just too much to do in a day.
I’m getting loads of different exposure and I enjoy it very much. At least, now I know that my feedback and ideas is of value to the company. And, most important of all, I can make a change.
At the end of the day, I go home with a sense of accomplishment. And, that’s a great feeling.
Since starting my new job, I don’t see Alan as much as I used to. Now, we only spend the weekends together. Even login in to Facebook, I rarely do now except on weekends. I think, in a way, this job made me realize that life is not just about facing the computer all day long.
Aside from work, I have something else that I have to prepare for. Even the weekends are sometimes taken up to do it. I’m enjoying every minute of it though…
Firstly, I apologize for the long absence in my blog entries. I’ve been rather busy with my career change.
For those who haven’t heard, I’ve left my workplace at KLCC for a better offer/package at a company much nearer to home. My travelling time to work has reduced so much by working at this new place.
My new company is a US-based company and it’s been doing well in the industry worldwide. I hope this is a great career move for me.
In my first few days, I’ve met a couple of people who remind me of my ex-colleagues. It’s funny how it works that there are these kind of people at the two companies I’ve worked in. Not only is their attitude similar, even the way they look is somewhat alike. I couldn’t help laughing quietly *in my mind* when I met them.
Although starting a new somewhere else, I do miss my colleagues back in KLCC. One thing for sure, I can’t access MSN at my new workplace so chatting has to be done via email. But I get to listen to the radio while at work at this new job.
Well, working at a new place… starting a new, here’s to a new beginning…
